Stephanie is a Latina born and raised in Jersey City, New Jersey. She left New Jersey to attend Michigan State University, where she graduated with a degree in Communicative Sciences and Disorders.
Stephanie spent the next ten years working in the education and nonprofit sector, where she developed expertise working with youth and families.
She is a mother of three boys and during her own childbirth experiences decided to focus on eliminating racial disparities in infant and maternal mortality in her community.
Stephanie teaches Childbirth Education classes to empower pregnant people to advocate for themselves and their children in the perinatal period. She is a birth and postpartum doula, parent educator and CPR instructor.
