Paige Torres

Paige Claudia Torres was born in Idaho and attended first grade in Mexico City, Mexico. She graduated from Kalamazoo Valley Community College with honors in Liberal Arts and transferred to Western Michigan University where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in English and Rhetoric Writing with a double minor Race and Ethnic Relations, and Global and International Studies.


During her undergraduate studies she participated in Conversation Circles for Limited English Learners from around the world, volunteered at Farm Worker Legal Services, Kalamazoo Gospel Mission and tutored middle school aged students before football practice. She served as the Community Health Worker at the Kalamazoo Community Health Department where she bridged Breast and Cervical Cancer screening government funds to marginalized low-income community members. She also served as Senior Legal Advocate advocating for victim rights for survivors of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. She currently serves as a Legal Assistant at Advia Credit Union. 


Paige Claudia Torres has three kids. She enjoys spending her free time writing, organizing, weightlifting, doing hot yoga, reading and traveling.
